I want to thank all of you who shared your responses to my post yesterday - I loved loved loved reading about what everyday beauty you all are inspired by! It was so interesting to see a glimpse into the world that you see and it definitely gave me a little bit more of an insight into each of you! ♥
So I've decided to start sharing with you some of my hand lettering work! It's always a bit nerve-wracking and intimidating to share a personal side of yourself and your work and this is no exception! Hand lettering and typography have been a passion of mine since I was in the 3rd grade, always experimenting with different styles in my handwriting. Not to mention, handwritten letters are my favorite and every chance I get (birthdays, anniversaries, thank you's, just because's) - I'll hand make my own cards for my friends + family!
I recently got into true calligraphy (using pen nibs + ink) over the past few months but have always done "fake" calligraphy (using normal pens and making it appear like calligraphy letters), so I've been having so much fun! 2 weeks ago, I attended the online Skillshare class, The Art of Modern Calligraphy taught by Molly Jacques where I picked up some really great and helpful tips! I'll be sure to share more of my work as I practice! (And yup, that's my succulent making yet another appearance this week...) . . .
Oh, and usually I'll post my favorite Pinterest pins + links on Friday, but tomorrow I'll be mixing it up a little bit...so stay tuned! In the meantime, I thought I'd make up for the lack of links tomorrow by posting my favorites from the week here today, go check 'em out:
