Fixing Application Errors

You can probably picture this happening to you as I describe it. Imagine trying to start up a game or any other program and application, only to see an error message saying ‘this application is unable to start correctly.’ According to its code, this is a 0xc00007b error, and this usually means that something is not right with either your device or the game/application that you are trying to run on it. This error usually ends up happening when 32-bit and 64-bit Windows versions end up mixing and interacting with a certain application. Thankfully, there are a few ways you can resolve this error, and we will discuss a few of those methods in the rest of this article.

  • The first thing you can do is to restart your computer. This can usually help by rebooting the program, and it does work as a solution at times. If you run into the problem just the first time you run the application, or later on even though the application/program was working perfectly fine before, then restarting your computer can help.
  • Another simple step you can take is to uninstall the game or application and then install it again.
  • If you have an older version of Windows or have not bothered to update your Windows regularly, then updating your Windows can help you be able to run the application smoothly without any problems. If there are still issues after updating your Windows, then the program is at fault.
  • If none of these steps work, then you can simply activate your administrator rights by clicking on the properties area of the game/program and then checking on the ‘Run this program as an administrator’ option. Once that is done, you can refresh and then try running the program again, and this should do the trick.
